Monique Putnam is the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) here at Roy Elementary.
Monique received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communicative Disorders and Deaf Education from Utah State University (Go Aggies!) and her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University.
An SLP’s duties cover a wide range of specialties. In a school-setting, some of the roles of an SLP include: Articulation therapy, Voice therapy, Stuttering therapy, Language therapy, Child Study Team Member, Group language lessons, Sign language programs, Speech/language evaluations, and Hearing screenings.
Monique has worked in many settings and serviced speech and language clients in Early Intervention, Special Ed Preschool, an Autism Unit, elementary students K-6, and patients at Heritage Park Care Center. Monique LOVES her job and LOVES working with the students at Roy Elementary.
