At Roy Elementary School we make an ongoing effort to help every student meet grade level proficiency in reading. All students receive grade level reading instruction in the classroom. If a student shows a need for additional support, through assessment and classroom observation, that student may be included in a reading intervention program. These programs are flexible, meaning students may move in and out of groups throughout the year. The Reading Specialist, Para-Professional, teacher, or Read Today tutor may offer intervention instruction.
